Now, I don't have a brake, but that's okay. The old rodder's trick
is two chunks of angle-iron in a vise, and gently hammer
the metal over
to form the bend. For something like this, use a block of soft wood to
spread out the hammer blow,
so the new lip won't get wavy or stretch,
which would curve the part.
The flange on the car
wasn't 90 degrees, so I didn't hammer it all the way flat.
