Quick tip: Don't just slap a chunk of sandpaper on there and
scrape it back and forth with your thumb.
The epoxy will sand much
easier than the potmetal, and the potmetal will sand easier than the
aluminum.
Which will in turn sand easier than the stainless screws.
You'll wind up with waves in your part,
as each material wears at
different rates.
Instead, use a block- something stiff to back the sandpaper, so it sands
everything equally. For a small part like this, a file works fine.
