After deburring the bore, the premade aluminum spud was inserted,
the sight bridged with the premade aluminum block, and a few bits
of cardboard scrap used to pad the chuck jaws.
Then, using the smooth machined surface of the spud, the bore was
dialed in to perfectly concentric with the lathe spindle axis. This way, the
barrel will be made concentric to its bore, no matter the factory tolerances.
