Seems to work, feeds smoothly, although I had to break open the trigger switch and clean the contacts too...)
Now, to finish off the repair, I had to cobble up some gas. I only had a cheap Harris reg/flowmeter,
but I had to dig through some boxes of scrap fittings to bodge a temporary hookup.
I eventually picked up a proper flowmeter and had a good hose made up,
but the bodge at least got it running.
