After pondering it for a few minutes and trying to see how the gas moves through and all that,
I didn't see any reason I couldn't or shouldn't. And, if for some reason I do eventually have to
use that setup, I can just cut the new liner back and replace the tip liner.
So I cut off the new liner to the proper length to go all the way to the tip.
Just in case, I parted off the collar of the old tip liner, and put it in it's original place- now it
just helps guide the new liner straight through, rather than holding an entirely separate section of liner.
