Now, one question that cropped up when asking about Govnair systems, was that they used
an oddball, or at least non-standard tank thread. Sure enough, it's a bigger shank.
The Govnair is 3/4"-16, whereas what we now consider a standard tank thread- used on almost
all HPA and CO2 tanks used today- is 5/8"-18.
The Govnair is NOT metric, as near as I can tell. While 3/4" is close to 19mm, the thread pitch is
nowhere even close to any common metric spec- at least according to my thread gage.
However, the reg's thread matches my inch-spec thread pitch gage perfectly.
