Done!
The silicon bronze is tougher and a better wear surface than the factory cast-iron,
and this piece is longer by two threads, and has a considerably stronger flange.
It wasn't an easy project, but wasn't bad, and was worth it to restore handwheel functionality to the
mill, with a part that should last far longer than the stock piece and should be more than strong enough.
Plus, now I have two of them.
