The original "color theme", as evidenced by that original 1997 photo, was red and black, to match Pyro's red-and-black
Renegade cammies. (Which I'll bet he still has. :) I could keep the theme, but stainless and chrome fit it better in my opinion-
and Pyro had already been working that way, as evidenced by the addition of a stainless Rock knob, and the replacement
of both pump and cocking rods with stainless, and so on.
So I replaced the grip frame screws (one of which was the wrong length anyway) with stainless, the LPR
got an old red-ringed Palmer's Rock Knob with stainless threads, and, also considering it was gooped up
and rusty, I replaced the black-oxide ball detent with
one of mine.
