Next drill the part to slightly larger than the diameter of the ball, and not too deep.
I'd made the threaded portion slightly long so I could trim it to an exact depth. Had to
make sure I didn't drill the center either too deep or too shallow.
Note the felt-tip mark on the drill, as a rough idea on how deep to go.
