But first I needed a dust-cover for the bearing. Well, it turns
out a spray-paint cap is just the right size to go over the upper
bearing cup. So I trimmed it down by clamping it in my six-jaw (jaws on
the inside pulling out- held very well, actually)
and clamped an eXacto
knife in the toolpost. Sliced it off perfectly straight and very clean.
