Buzz the excess down with the angle grinder,
smooth the rest with the air sander. Deburr with a rattail file.
I apparently didn't get any photos the day I did the adjustable foot,
but it was just a strap of 12ga, wide enough for the foot, and long enough
it could be tack welded on, but still provide a little flex.
The setscrew bears the weight, the strap just holds it in place.
