Since the stand would be pretty much dedicated to this buffer,
I started by cutting the top mounting pad down to conform to the buffer base.
It was a simple matter of bolting the buffer down, drawing the outline in marker,
and carefully following that line with the plasma cutter.
(Okay, I cheated- I clamped down a chunk of scrap steel as a straightedge to guide the cutter.)
