Machinery's Handbook, 1945

One of the more interesting items tucked in there, and looking like it had just been put there, was this hand-typed,
mimeographed inter-office memo, from the Ordnance Division, Food Machinery and Chemical Corporation,
San Jose, California, dated August 27th, 1956. You can see a bigger version here. It describes the
designing of some fixtures, to be machined with a large Rockwell planer, to hold a "T-13 cupola" for production.
Towards the bottom it then mentions "armor details", so I have suspected it refers to producing tank turrets.

It's also the first time I'd heard he'd lived for a short while in San Jose, California.
I'm told he hated it there, and moved back to Illinois after less than a year.
