The grip started as a 1" x 2" aluminum extrusion.
In the comic, the grip appears somewhat larger by scale (and occasionally curved)
but I wanted to able to be held comfortably by non-amorphs, so I shrunk it a tad.
Yes, that's what my welding table looks like on a regular basis.
Idle hands, clean desk/sick mind, etc. etc.
