To hold the mesh in place, I had the choice of welding it, or mechanical attachment.
Welding would have been difficult- though not impossible- and a bolt would offer the chance to
adjust or re-do in the future, as changes might need to be made.
But, I didn't want any external screwheads, rivets or dimples,
therefore I drilled a small hole central to each set of vents...
