To punch the holes, I needed a "starting" hole for the punch.
This hole didn't need to be particularly accurate, but it did have to be fairly large,
and drilling large holes in sheetmetal with a standard twist drill can often get entirely too exciting.
So I got out the
plasma cutter. :)
