The flanges, too, needed a little attention. As it turned out, they were die cast,
and had not been machined afterward. Again, we needed to index them by the bore, so here
I used a cheap expanding mandrel. It didn't have a lot of gripping power, but by taking
light cuts, it worked out just fine.
