... And one last little mod: For all the quality of the rest of the marker, WDP chose to simply
let the hammer setscrew bear directly on the peaks of the shaft threads. Not only is this a poor
choice from a strength standpoint (the peaks peen down far more easily than solid metal)
but also from a maintenance standpoint- the setscrew distorts the threads and makes it
difficult to unscrew the hammer. So I located on the already-dinged threads and
drilled another shallow divot. After cleaning up the threads with a tiny triangular
Swiss file, the hammer screwed on easily, and the setscrew locked
firmly into the divot.
