Then, using the ram tool, held with a padded pair of Vise-Grips, I was finally able
to turn the cap loose. It hadn't been sealed with Loctite or any adhesive, somebody
had simply managed to cinch it up too tight- possibly in an attempt to help seal a leak.
The cap, while damaged, still seals and can be used, and is covered by the rear
body late, so it shouldn't be too annoying.
