Like the man says, if it's worth doing, it's worth doing well. So the proper fix, as I mentioned
in the first installment, is now to make an all-new, one piece bearing cover out of mild steel.
So I got out my CAD program (that's "Cardboard Aided Design") and plotted up a replacement part.
