The original keys for the fixed jaw were just chunks of metric key stock
sheared off
and tapped into place. Instead of two short chunks, I decided to go with
a single key,
and much more closely fitted to the slot. So after a few quick measurements-
too quick-
I milled down a chunk of mild steel bar to the rough dimensions.
